Re: After B.Com can I be eligible to do LLB?

You can become eligible for the LLB after the Bachelor of Commerce course. LLB is 3 years bachelor's degree in law for candidates who wish to become lawyer. There is another law degree which has duration of 5 years.

But for you the ideal course is 3 years LLB degree. Having completed graduation there is no sense in doing the five years course. The 5 years LLB degree includes a graduation course and the LLB course. It is generally known as integrated Law course or the BA LLB course.

Once you have completed graduation, 3 years LLB degree is perfect. You can apply for the 3 years course is various colleges across the country. Delhi University and Banaras Hindu University are among the best universities for 3 years course.

LLB Eligibility

1. You should complete the graduation course.

2. Must secure 45 to 50 percent marks in graduation.

3. There is 5 percent relaxation for SC/ST in some universities.

4. There is no percentage criteria in DU for SC/ST.

5. You should be less than 30 years old to apply.

6. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST in upper age limit.

7. No relaxation is given to OBC.

It is important to know that LLB is regular only graduation course. You can not pursue it through correspondence or the distance education. Completing non regular degree will not be accepted by the Bar Council of India to allow practicing as lawyer.
