None of the programs offered in Karnataka State Open University is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education [AICTE], however the University is recognized by the University Grant Commission and Distance Education Council. To get recognition of the technical degree all over India, All India Council of Technical Education [AICTE]'s approval is mandatory and none of the technical programs offered through distance mode all over the country is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, apart from MCA and MBA. |

Can we do B.Tech/B.E through distance learning from Karnataka State Open university Mysore? Dear Sir, i have completed Diploma in Mechanical Engg. from Govt. Polytechnic, West Bengal and presently working in Indian Railways. Sir, kindly let us know that whether B.Tech/BE through distance learning from KARNATAKA STATE OPEN UNIVERSITY KSOU, Mysore is AICTC UGC approved and after passing the same can i appear for the GATE Exmas.
