Hi,

IITJAM- Joint Admission Test

The exam is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology for admission in M.Sc. courses in IIT.

Eligibility criteria for IITJAM ~~

You should have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.

For general the minimum percentage required is 55% and for SC/ ST it is 50% .
Since you want to appear for IIT JAM chemistry , you can join a good coaching for your preparation.

I have listed some good books for your reference.

No,you can not sit for jam 2013 in this year.
The minimum requirements is to be in the final year of your b.sc course.
So,as you are in the 2nd year you can sit for jam 2014 in next year.

How To Prepare For IIT JAM

IIT JAM or the Joint Admission Test is conducted every year for admission to various M.Sc. courses in IITs..

a candidate is eligible for appearing for the IIT JAM only if :-

>> The candidate is in the final year or has already completed his graduation from a recognized University

>> The candidate must have a secured an aggregate of 55% or equivalent CGPA if general/OBC and 50% for SC/ST candidates

The admission forms are available from last week of September to mid-October and the exam takes place in mid-February..

I have provided you with some of the previous year question papers which shall help you out in your preparations..

Observe the pattern and the level of the questions asked in these papers..

You can Click Here in case you want any further information on this topic..

Your exam will be 30% objective and 70% subjective..

all the best..
