Dear Friend, If you want to become a topper in UPSC civil services then it will better for you to join any good coaching institute for preparation. Alternatively, if you have someone who has already qualified this examination with you to guide you then you may consider preparing for it on your own. Without continuous guidance it is extremely difficult to crack this toughest examination. The notification is released every year in the month of March. It is released on this website: www.upsc.gov.in TO Apply: http://upsconline.nic.in/ You cannot join Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) on your own as this job is offered secretly to the deserving candidates of various profiles. Though there are people who prepare on themselves but their number are too less. It would be better to join any good coaching for IAS in your area. Many people go to delhi for IAS coaching. Some of the best IAS coaching are as follows Classic IAS Academy -Ujwal Ias Academy -Chronicle IAS Academy -Destination IAS Academy -Eten IAS Academy -JTS Institute -Skylight IAS Academy -Rao IAS Academy -Career Point The only way to top is to read more and more. yeah you can become Intelligence Officer with your rank as IPS Officer but first you have to become IPS officer. and give your precious service for a few years to get promoted to your desire. in your query you have mentioned for few times IAS instead of IPS exam.
