Since you have qualify the exam, you will get admitted to one or the other colleges. However, its very difficult for you to get into good M.Tech college. IIT and NIT and good colleges are out of your reach. Also at 28 marks, most probably you have qualified the gate exam but its very very low for Mechanical branch as the number of candidates appearing in this branch is just too high. I would advice you reappear for GATE next year with good preparation All the best |
