Re: How to do Ph.D in US? Any entrance exams for doing the course? hi, I have completed my M.Sc(PHYSICS) in 2008 n working a teacher in India for the last 5Yrs. Now I want to do Ph.D in Nanotechnology in USA.. Greatly appreciated if any one tells me how to apply, the best universities, the requirements, n funding. Looking forward for the kind reply friends....!! Thanks in advance. |

Hi...Well for opting Ph.d in the USA it will depend upon the colleges.Some colleges will follow strict criteria but some colleges won't.You need to sit for GRE and TOFEL exams.GRE should be more than 1200 and TOFEL more than 1000.PhD in the US is fully funded by the US University and you do not have to pay anything from your end, they also pay stipend which takes care of your expenses.Best wishes. |

Re: How to do Ph.D in US? Any entrance exams for doing the course? Writing an entrance exams for running a Ph.D in the United State is dependent on the institution you are applying to. Most required are academic transcript, TOEFL(For candidates whose native languages is not English), Bank statement showing capability to fund intended programme, personal statement of motivation, independent referees of which one must be into academics etc. Hope this helps. |

Hi friend 1)For applying in US for Ph.D you choose your own university and apply for that university,if you have all Eligibility they will call for you otherwise you can't go for good university,but you will get any one university 2)Have good mark in UG,PG and GRE or TOFEL then you can go in Scholarship also and Good Project is be done in PG , Based on that ,they will select you soon 3)You should work really very hard to get good university Best of luck for your Ph.D in US |
