 Union Public Service Commission conducts Indian Engineering services exam for recruitment of various engineering/posts in various government departments.Candidates who have a Bachelor degree in Engineering/post graduation degree in Wireless technology/Radio technology will only be required to apply for Indian Engineering services exam conducted by the UPSC.Candidates should have an engineering degree in(any one) :-
-->>Candidates who have a bachelor engineering degree/Post Graduation degree in Engineering/Post Graduation degree in Wireless/Radio technology will only be eligible to apply for Indian Engineering services exam. -->>Candidates minimum age should be 21 years and not above 30 years. -->>Candidates who are from OBC category will get 3 years of age relaxations and SC/ST category will get 5 years of age relaxations. Details for Examination :- There will be two exam : written test and personality test.Written test will be 1000 marks and include 5 papers.each paper will be of 200 marks.First paper will be General Ability test and include questions from general English and General Studies.general studies section will include questions will be from History,geography, and from Current events.Other four paper will include questions from your Engineering stream. How to apply :- Candidates will able to fill the examination form online through its official website www.upsc.gov.in . Candidates will required to pay examination fee of Rs 100 for General and OBC category and for SC and ST they will have to pay Rs 50.UPSC IES recruitment notification will be available from 08/02/2014 for the coming year.Last date to fill the online application form will be 10/03/2014. |

IES stands for Indian Engineering Service. This exam Civil Service Examination. And this exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission once in a year. Eligibility Criteria: Nationality: The candidate should be origin of India. Educational Qualification: The candidate should pass the graduation in Engineering from recognized University with any stream. Percentage not required for this exam. Final year pursuing candidates are eligible for this exam. Age limit: Your age limit should be between 21 to 30 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable as per govt rules. 3 years relaxation for OBC 5 years relaxation for SC\ST. 10 years relaxation for PH. No of Attempts: 4 attempts for the General category. 7 attempts for the OBC category. No limit of attempts for the SC\ST category. Educational Qualifications required to apply for IES exams is: >> BE/BTECH pass in any stream OR >> Passed section A and Section B of Instution examinations of Institution of Engineers Or >> Graduate Membership Examination of Institute of electronics and Telecommunication Engineers Age- Minimum 21 years Maximum 30 years OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations To apply for this exam you have to wait for UPSC to advertise the positions Once advertisement is released than you have to apply online from the website http://upsconline.nic.in/ Now you can apply for this exam in the year 2014 only Fees to apply is Rs 200 But for SC/ST/Women candidates fees is zero |

Eligibility : * A candidate who have completed their Bachelor Degree in Engineering Stream that is B.E/B.Tech in the following branch can apply for this exam from Recognized Universities can apply for this exam...... 1. Civil Engineering 2. Mechanical Engineering 3. Electrical Engineering 4.Electronics & Communications Engineering * A candidate must have Nationality of India. * Bachelor Degree holder in the above listed branch. * Age of candidate should be between 21 to 30 years * For OBC category Candidates : 21 to 33 years * For SC / ST category candidates : 21 to 35 years * For PH / PWD : 21 to 40 years * A General candidate can apply for it maximum 4 times. * OBC candidate can apply up to 7 times. umang_28 |

Re: How can i apply for IES entrance exam? Dear friend IES stands for the 1.Indian Engineering services . 2.Indian Economic services. Both the exams are conducted once every year by the UPSC. Before applying for the exam you must ensure that whether you are eligible for the entrance exam or not. For the Indian Engineering services ,you must have bachelor's degree in any engineering or technology from a recognized university. For Indian Economic services ,you must have master's degree in economics,applied economics,business economics or econometrics. Final year candidates of both the courses can apply for the exam. The age limit is 21-30 years .Relaxation of three years to obc and five years to sc/st candidates . You must be an Indian citizen. How to apply for the exam? In order to apply for the UPSC exam ,you need to visit the official website the UPSC that is www.upsconline.nic.in. After that you need to provide all the personal details of yourself.Then you will have to upload your photograph and signature within the specified limits . Then you will have to pay the examination fee.You will get the registration number which you need to save for the future reference.
