Re: Am I eligible for MBA after passing degree with 42%

hello friend

to pursuing MBA the percentage of marks one has acquired at graduation level is not of vital importance

since the ones with the pass marks too can apply for this course. So don't think your low marks will pose any such unwanted problems in your way.

But what you need to understand is that because of your low marks you wont be able to sit for most of the top MBA Entrance exams like CAT or SNAP

There are MBA entrance exams which only demands pass marks at grad level. You are eligible to give them like MAT or IIFT. The eligibility criteria of both these exams have been written below.

MAT Eligibility:-

1. A graduate degree from a recognized university.

2. Minimum 40% or pass marks at graduation level.

3. Final year students can also give this exam.

4. No age criteria is there.

IIFT Eligibility:-

1. A bachelor's degree is required in any discipline of your choice.

2. This exam is open for the final year students as well.

3. No age limit.

best of luck

It is one of the most toughest entrance exam which will give you chance to pursue your master's degree from the Indian Institute of Management best B schools in India.

So do not worrry ,you can give other tests like MAT which is conducted fourtimes every year by the AIMA.

MBA stands MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION ,for pursuing mba you need to have a graduation from any stream from a recognized university ,

as you are a graduate you are definitely eligible for mba ,

though you have very less marks in graduation so you are not eligible for COMMON ADMISSION TEST (CAT) because for applying cat you need to have minimum 50% in graduation, though you have many other options left,

cat is considered as best part for admission in b-schools or iim's,

eligibility for CAT :

1.must hold a graduation degree

2.must have minimum 50 % in graduation

3.5% relaxation for sc/st students

4.no relaxation for obc and general candidates

you have other options available for you :

1. MAT
2.CMAT
3.GMAT
4.XAT
5.IIFT

for these exams you need not any marks criteria, and even state boards conduct entrance exams for mba ,

good luck

Re: Am I eligible for MBA after passing degree with 42%

To pursue Master of Business Administration, you should be graduate. So that will not be any problem. All entrance exams conducted for Master of Business Administration require candidate to have graduation degree.

However the marks criteria varies from exam to exam. Since you have scored 42 percent in graduation, it means that Common Admission Test is not possible for you to appear.

Common Admission Test is the most popular entrance exam for Master of Business Administration. Top MBA colleges in India, Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) offer admission through this very entrance exam.

Apart from Indian Institutes of Management, there are number of good private and government colleges that also accepts CAT score. The list include Indian Institutes of Technology and National Institutes of Technology.

You are not eligible for the Common Admission Test due to the percentage requirement, that you are not meeting.

CAT Eligibility

1. Graduation is the qualifying course required.

2. Must have scored 50 percent marks.

3. SC/ST need 45 percent marks.

4. While for OBC, there is no relaxation.

As you can see from the criteria that you can not appear for the Common Admission Test. Therefore you should consider other options.

MAT

GMAT

XAT

IIFT

TANCET

RMAT

KMAT

JMET

ICET

These are some of the other options for you. Generally candidates with low marks in graduation appear for the Management Aptitude Test (MAT). The reason is that there is no marks criteria for Management Aptitude Test. The exam is conducted 4 times a year.

You can however also appear for entrance exam conducted in your state. If you belong to Karnataka then go for KMAT. There is no percentage criteria for KMAT as well. Similarly students from Rajasthan can go for RMAT while TANCET for Tamil Nadu.
