Re: How to give SLET in Gujarat and NET? You should either appear for the SLET or the NET entrance exam. The purpose of both the exams is same. You can appear for these exams for Junior Research Fellowship and College Lectureship. National Eligibility Test is national level entrance exam conducted by the University Grants Commission. While the Gujarat State Eligibility Test is conducted by the state government. The criteria and qualification requirements will remain the same for both the exams. It is advised to appear for one exam at a time since preparing for both will be extremely difficult. Do not for a second think that National Eligibility Test is easy to clear. You will have to work hard to clear the entrance exam. The National Eligibility Test is conducted twice a year in June and December. While the Gujarat State Eligibility Test is conducted only once. This year Gujarat SET exam will be conducted in September. Exam Eligibility 1. You should be Indian citizen to appear for either one. 2. Your minimum qualification should be post graduation. 3. Minimum of 55 percent marks in post graduation. 4. There is 5 percent relaxation for SC/ST. 5. The final year students are also eligible to apply. 6. Your subject will be Computer Science and Applications. 7. Age should be less than 28 years for JRF. 8. However there is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 9. SC/ST can apply for JRF till 35 years. 10. There is no upper age limit for lectureship. |
