Re: What are the optional subjects for RAS Exam? Hello, Rajasthan Administrative Services(RAS) is conducted by the RPSC. Eligibility-> Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Age limit-> 21 years is the lower age limit and 35 years is the upper age limit. The RAS Examination consists of 3 stages, 1.Preliminary Examination-> It consists of General Knowledge and General Science questions of 150 nos of 200 marks with a time of 3 hours,each question carrying equal marks. Negative marking of 1/3 is applicable for the each wrong answers. The questions is of the graduation level. 2.Main Examination-> Those selected in the Pre-examination are eligible to write in the Mains examination. 3.Interview-> Finally those selected in the Mains are called for the Interview process which is the final stage. The RPSC has announced the new pattern for the RAS 2013 examination. I have attached the New pattern and syllabus for the Preliminary and the Main RAS examination ,please do check the attachments.
