Distribution of vacancies among various categories and insider/outsider to be filled from Civil Services Examination is approximately 150 (Including general, OBC, SC/ST). So, If you are interested to Become IPS Officer in future then please wait for the notification and then apply for Civil services examination. The Notification will be Published soon in employment Newspaper or in UPSC Website in the Month of February i.e on 04/Feb/2012 The last date of apply for this examination Online : 05/March/2012 Preliminary examination Date : 20/May/2012 (If you cracked the Preliminary examination then you are eligible to apply for Main examination). Main examination Date : 05/Oct/2012. So, If you have completed your Graduation degree course in any discipline form a recognised University then you are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination and to apply for this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. The selection are based on written test, Personal Interviews and Medical Test.
