NDA Eligibility Criteria Details NDA Eligibility Criteria: The examination of the NDA (National defense academy) is conducted by union public service commission-upsc twice in a year. I.to recruits the candidates in Army, Navy & Air Force wings of National Defense Academy. 1. Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India. 2. Age: Only the Unmarried Male Candidates.16 1/2 to 19 Years. 3.Sex: only unmarried male candidates are eligible. II. Educational Qualifications: 1.For Army wing of National Defense Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. 2. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defense Academy: A candidate must have passed 10+2 educational level with physics and mathematics subjects. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent can also apply. 3. Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit and medically according to physical standards for admission to National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination. NDA Selection Procedure Details: UPSC conducts NDA (National Defence Academy) Exam in Two Stages. I. Written Examination II. Interview I. Written Examination 1.The exam will constitute 2 subjects, Maths and General Ability Test and each subject is given the time limit 2 ½ Hours, maximum marks for Maths is 300 & General ability is 600. 2. The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. The question papers of Mathematics & Part B of General Ability Test will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English. Respected sir/madam, --.No,Girls are not eligible to apply for the NDA exam. -->According to the notifications released by UPSC about the NDA exam,there is mentioned that only Unmarried Male candidates are eligible to appear for the NDA exam. -->The NDA exam will be conducted by union public service commission every yesr for the following three wings : >>Indian Army >>Indian Navy >>Indian Airforce -->Age Limit :- You should not be below 16.5 years and not above 19 years to be eligible for the NDA exam. -->Nationality :- You must be a citizen of India. -->Educational Qualification :- You must have completed 12th or equivalent from a recognised board/institute to be eligible to appear for the NDA exam. -->You must be Physically and Mentally fit to join in the Indain Defence Services. Re: Can girls apply in NDA after passing 12th? Sorry girls can not apply for NDA examination because it is clearly mentioned in the NDA notification that only unmarried males can apply for it. Hence you must not get disheartened by this and should take admission into a Graduation course from a good college. After completion of Graduation girls like you who are interested in Defence can apply for CDS examination which is also conducted by UPSC like NDA exam twice in a year. CDS Exam is for Graduates and both male/female can apply for it. So do your Graduation and along with it prepare for the CDS examination. Age limit for CDS examination is 19 to 25 years. So make sure that you complete Graduation as early as possible so that you can get maximum chances to appear. Re: Can girls apply in NDA after passing 12th? No, Girls are not eligible to apply for NDA which is only meant for Male candidate only. But now Government is seriously thinking for allowing girls candidate to NDA which may be happened in near future. NDA stands for National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male candidate only having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness. Girls as interested for defence service may apply through CDS(Combined Defence Service) after Graduation Degree within the age of 19 to 25 years. NDA stands for National Defence Academy. NDA exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice time in a year for three wings. - Army wings - Navy wings - Air force Wings Eligibility criteria for NDA Examination :- Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Candidate must have completed 10+2 exam of a recognized School or Board and studying in the final year of 12th examination may also eligible to apply for Army wings. For Navy / Air force wings:- Candidate must have completed 10+2 with PCM subjects from a recognized board. There is no minimum marks required for NDA Examination . Age limit:- Age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years. There is No age relaxation for reserved categories in this exam. Only unmarried Male candidate are eligible to apply this exam. great to hear this being you would to serve the nation by joining in NDA sorry to convey this that girls do'nt have option to join NDA (national defense academy),but if you can appear for CDS EXAM which stands for Combined defense service ',like NDA this exam also conduct by upsc ,twice in year CDS exam is for both men and women with teh age of 19-25 years,indian,mentally and physically fit and fine if we want to be a part of any field we must follow its rules and regulation strictly..right.. so my dear friend do not loose hope.as for now concentrate on studies and cleared the graduation degree with good scores..ok warm wishes for your bright future thank you |

HI FRIEND ## It is sorry to say that,girls are not eligible to apply for NDA exam ## Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA examination ## NDA exam is conducted by UPSC two times every year to recruit the candidates in ARMY,NAVY and AIRFORCE WINGS of National Defence Academy ## Minimum educational qualification required to apply for ARMY WING is 12th pass & for NAVY,AIRFORCE WINGS is 12th pass in 10+2 pattern with mathematics,physics subjects (or) equivalent examination conducted by a State education board ## Age limit to apply for NDA examination is 16.5-19 years and the candidate must be physically & medically fit as per Defence regulations ## For further details please visit www.upsc.gov.in ** ALL THE BEST ** |
