Hello support,


First official notification for IBPS PO is bachelor degree with 60%marks from the IBPS is correct but after some crashes and some other problems IBPS has published the notification with small changes in education qualification and age limits i.e educational qualification is graduation (percentage is not required) and age limits are 20 years to 30 years.


I've attached you the Corrigendum of IBPS PO/MT revised notification from the IBPS. Once see it sir.

Students who have completed their graduation are eligible to write.Age should be between 31-40.

The exam conducted for various banks post is IBPS.IBPS stands for Institute of banking personal selection.Any student who completed his/her bachelor degree is eligible to write the IBPS exam.Once you qualified in IBPS,based on your score you can apply for any bank in india in any post.The banks like SBH,SBI,Andra bank,ICICI,--- are recruiting the personnel based on the IBPS score.So if you want to get a bank job you have to do well in the IBPS.

This is being noticed that a lot of people are having clash of opinions related to Eligibility criteria of IBPS Clerk/PO and MT, mainly with the educational qualification required and age limit.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility 2012 [Old]

Education: Just a bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognised university or the equivalent qualification recognised by central government. Along with this computer literacy is mandatory along with desired certificate/degree/diploma.

Age: Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years. There are relaxations for 8 type of categories.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility 2013 [New]


Education: Just a bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognised university or the equivalent qualification recognised by central government. Along with this computer literacy is mandatory along with desired certificate/degree/diploma.

Age: Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years. There are relaxations for 8 type of categories.

Conclusion: Same as last year. No change.

Education: Just a bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognised university or the equivalent qualification recognised by central government. With no mention of necessity of computer literacy.

Age: Minimum 20 years and maximum 30 years.

IBPS PO/MT Eligibility 2013 [New]


Education: A bachelor degree in any discipline with 60% marks from any recognised university or the equivalent qualification recognised by central government. There's relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/PWD. However if SC/ST/PWD are filling in unreserved vacancies then, relaxation of 5% will not be applicable for them.

Along with this computer literacy is mandatory. Applicant must either have gained certificate/degree/diploma in computer operation/language or must have studied it (computer/IT) as a subject at school or college/institute level.

Age: Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years.

IBPS PO/MT Eligibility 2013 [Latest]


Education: Just a bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognised university or the equivalent qualification recognised by central government. With no mention of necessity of computer literacy.

Age: Minimum 20 years and maximum 30 years.

Conclusion: IBPS changed the old format with new one in 2013, but again after few days IBPS rolled back to old format. Hence, the old format is being followed as of now.

i have 72% in 12th and 56% in bba . I have completed my bba from icfai university.am i eligible for ibps exam or not?
