GATE is the popular entrance examination conducted for admission to M.Tech. As you are pursuing final year of engineering, you can appear for GATE. There is no upper age limit for attending this exam. Certain Universities/institutions conducts own entrance test for admission. VITEEE, SRMEEE, etc are some of such entrance exams.

as you are in 8 sem, appear for the exam of GATE, it will help you for your higher studies for M.Tech, it will increase your technical knowledge as well.
GATE is GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING which is a common admission program for admission in IITs NITS and several private & govt. institutions,
but some institutions have their own written exams as well for M.Tech.
