Re: When to start coaching for GATE? I have completed my 4th semester dear friend, Yes, my friend it is the wright time to start preparation for GATE exam.. As you have completed 4th semester , then you will be in 3rd year now.. MAximum questions in GATE exam are come from 3rd year of B.tech course. So, start taking tutions for GATE exam.. Actual technical subjects you will have from 3rd year. So, study technical papers throughly and clear all your doubts.. Beside this start taking tutions for GATE exam, where they will prepare you for the exam.. Also they will provide study material to clear your doubts.. Go for it.. All the best.. |

You can appear for GATE examination in your 8th semester. so, as you are in 4th semester right now, you need to start coaching in your 6th semester. GATE is generally taken in FEBRUARY every year. For this time being , please concentrate on your study as to crack GATE with good score, it is very much important that your Fundamentals of Engineering is clear. Then only you will find less difficulty in cracking GATE. You have golden time to Clear your concept before going for coaching.so, go ahead. For any other query, do post here. best of luck regards. |

I have completed my 4th semester Hi mithra28, The best time for starting for GATE is from 3rd Semester, but as it's late for you but not too late so start as soon as possible. The pattern and the fields of question can be looked from previous year questions and you can further work along on it. Besides gate coaching personal effort and techniques play important role in competing gate. So, even if it's late you can start by your own to compete in gate. Regards rock316 |
