Dear Friend,

Nice to hear that you are interested in Joining Indian Army.

You can join Indian Army Through the NDA Examination which is condcuted twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission.

Now , As per your ask that whether you are not eligible for joining Indian Army , i have mentioned all the eligibility criteria required for the same so that you can check that you are eligible or not.

The Eligibility Criteria for NDA Examination are :

* You should have passed your Higher Secondary from any recognized board.

* Your age should lie in between 16.5-19 years.

* You should have Indian Nationality.

* Your minimum height should be 165 cms .

* You must be physically and mentally fit.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.

Hello,
You are eligible to join the Indian Army as you have passed 12th standard. There will be an entrance exam known as NDA. It is conducted every year by UPSC. The educational qualification is 12th standard. The age limit is 18-21 years.

HI,
You an join Indian Army after passing 12th with commerce stream.
For this you have to qualify the N.D.A exam.

N.D.A stand for National Defence Academy Exam.

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with recognized university
> Age limit:-16.5-19 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

To join Indian Army you have to pass 10+2.
After completing 10+2 you have two ways to enter into the Indian Army:-

There are many ways to get into Indian Army.The ranks vary and so do the pay and allowances.Since you din't mention the post which you like to join hence I mention the ways to enter Indian Army after completing your 12th.You cannot enter as an Officer at this stage as your from Commerce background and only PCM students can go through the NDA examination.After your 12th class you have two ways to enter into the Indian Army:-

1.Soldier General Duty:-If your between the age group of 17-1/2 to 21 years then you can apply for this post.
2.(i)General Duties:-If your between the age group of 17-1/2 to 20 years you can apply for this post
(ii)Specified Duties:-If your between the age group of 17-1/2 to 23 years you can apply for this post
3. SoldierClerk / StoreKeeper Technical:-If your between the age group of 17-1/2 to 23 years you can apply for this post

The above mentioned posts are of lower ranks and the salary which you receive will also be some what less when compared to other higher ranks.It would be better that you complete your graduation and then try out through SSC Non Tech Men.You can even enter through JAG men if you go through the LLB Course.Since the eligibility for the above mentioned posts are above 17 hence it's better that you go through the graduation course so that you have many opportunities to enter Indian Army.

The age limit to to apply for the exam is 19-24 years. So, I am sure that if follow the courses regularly without any gaps between higher secondary and graduation, your age , after completion of your bachelors degree program will be something around 22-23 years, which is within the maximum age limit for combined defense service exam.
