Re: Can I apply for AIPMT for next year at an age of 16? AIPMT all India premedical test is conducted by the CBSE.To be eligible for this exam, it is must to have a successfully class 12th degree from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. The student who wish to go for this exam, their age must be 17 years complete. |

Re: Can I apply for AIPMT for next year at an age of 16? One can apply for AIPMT only after attaining age of 17 years which is minimum age rquirement to apply for the exam . AIPMT stands for All India Pre Medical/Dental Test. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts a national level undergraduate medical entrance exam known as AIPMT for admission to MBBS and BDS seats under 15% All India Quota in Government medical and dental colleges of India excluding Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir. The eligibility criteria for the AIPMT are as under:- -The candidate should have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects with minimum 50% marks for general category and 40% marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates. -The candidate must have passed individually in all the subjects in 12th class examination . -The candidate age limit should be in between 17 years to 25 years.The upper age limit is relaxed for OBC/SC/ST candidates by 5 years. |

Now, according to the guidelines of Central Board of Secondary Education, in order to write the All India Pre-Medical/Dental Testto be conducted in the year 2013, candidates must attain the age of 17 years on or before 31-12-2013. As far as academic qualification is concerned, you must complete your higher secondary level with the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and obtain a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in this combination of subjects. For candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC category, the required percentage of marks is relaxed upto 5%. |
