MAT exam is conducted at a national level for students seeking admission in AICTE approved B-Schools. However by giving this exam you cannot join IIM. For that you have to give the CAT Exam. Comparatively MAT exam is easier to crack.

All India Management Association(AIMA) conducts the MAT exam every year for four times in a year usually in the months of February, May, September, and December.

To appear for this examination you just need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

There is no pressure of maintaining a certain percentage of marks at graduation level to sit for this exam. So every candidate who manages to get the pass marks are considered eligible.

There is no age limit as such too for this exam. So you can give this exam whenever you want to. Moreover it is conducted for so many times per year that you can give the exam whenever you want to without thinking about other criteria to satisfy as such.

The written examination can be given either online or offline. The pattern of the question is basically objective type and you will get only two and a half hours to complete the paper.

MAT Exam Pattern:

1. Mathematical Skills
2. Language Comprehension
3. Data Analysis and Sufficiency
4. Indian and Global Environment
5. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
