Re: How to take admission in CA after completing B.Com

To join Chartered Accountant course after your Graduation you have to apply CPT test which is conducted by ICAI.

ICAI is Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. It conducts the entrance exam for admission into this course.

CPT is Common proficiency test and is conducted in the month on june and december every year. If you want to join this course then you have to clear CPT .

CPT has 4 subjects which are Accounting, mercantile laws, general economics and quantitative aptitude.

IT is a 2 hour duration test and is of 200 marks with negative marking for wrong answers.

You have to get 50 % marks in CPT to qualify this exam.

After qualifying CPT you will be eligible for joining the CA course .

After enrolling into CA course you have to clear papers to become a CA .

Re: How to take admission in CA after completing B.Com

Hi Guest,

After completing B.Com you can go for C.A for sure.

In order to go for C.A you need to give the CPT exam.

You can give the exam if you have completed 10+2, as you completed B.Com you will be definitely eligible to give the exam.

After giving the CPT exam, you have to pass the PCC exam.

After completion of these two courses you can apply for the C.A course.

There are many coaching centers so if you are interested to go for coaching, you can go for it and score good marks in the examination.

Thank you,

All the best.

Dear friend,

Yes you can directly take admission in IPCC course after completing Graduation. You don't need to appear for CPT course. Chartered Accountancy course is very popular and highly respected course for commerce stream candidates. This is one of the toughest course in commerce stream. This course is conducted by Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) or by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI). There are three stages in this course:-

1)- Common Proficiency Test
2)- Integrated Professional Competence Course
3)- Final Level.

Now this rule has been passed that if you have completed your Graduation in any stream then you don't have to appear in CPT course. You can directly enroll for IPCC course.

Marks Required for Direct admission in IPCC course:-

1. In case of a Commerce Graduate – 55%

2. In case of a Non-Commerce Graduate – 60%

As you have completed B.Com, so if you have minimum 55% marks in Graduation then you can directly appear for IPCC course.

But you should have studied any 3 full papers from the following subjects:-

1- Accounting
2-Auditing
3- Mercantile laws
4-Costing
5-Income Txa laws
6-Indirect Tax Laws
7-Corporate LAWS
8-Econiomics
9-Management accounting
10-Business administration
11-financial management

Hello friend.

CA course stands for Chartered Accountancy Course. This is a professional course which can be done after passing 12th from any stream.
The course is regulated by ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India).
The course consistes of three stages:-
1.Common Proficiency Test.
2.IPCC
3.Final.

The first stage is CPT.After passing 12th,you can appear in this test by registering for it and filling the examination form. The test is conducted twice in a year,i.e,in the month of June and December. The syllabus of CPT consists of four subjects:-
1.Quantitative Aptitude.
2.Economics.
3.Merchantile Law.
4.Accountancy.

After you qualify CPT,you can start preparing for IPCC.You need to register for it also by paying the required fees to the ICAI.
Sine, you have completed your B.Com,you are not required to appear for CPT.You can directly start preparing for next level. But you must have scored 55% in your graduation.

The IPCC course is devided into two groups:-
1.Group I
2.Group II.

You can sit for both the groups exams at one time or you can individually give two groups. After you qualify Group I or both the groups, you have to for a training under a CA for 3 and half years.

The subjects in Group I of IPCC are:-
1.Advanced Accounting.
2.Law,Ethics and Communication.
3.Cost Accounting and Financial Management.
4.Taxation.

The subjects in Group II are:-
1.Advanced Accounting.
2.Auditing and Assurance.
3.Information Technology and Strategic Management.

Since, the syllabus of IPCC is vast. So,according to me,you should take coaching of some subjects like Cost and FM,Taxation. There are coaching centres where individual subjects are taught while in some coaching centres, all the subjects are taught. The fees depends on the goodwill of the coaching centre.Generally, the fees of one subject is around Rs. 10,000.So,if you are really interested to do this course, then you should go for it.

I hope you are satisfied with the information.

Best of luck.
Thanks.

With Regards-
Vikas.
