HELLO, These are criteria to become a police officer--------------- 1.The candidate must have completed their graduation Degree in any Descipline 2.Final year students are also applicable 3.Your age limit should be between 21-30 years 4.SC/ST relaxation in upper age +5 years 5.OBC relaxation in upper age +3 years. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Examination 3. Interview Test 1. Preliminary Exam - This is an objective type questions based test which if the candidate passes, qualifies tothe second phase. 2. Main Exam - This is a subjective type questions based test which if the candidate passes, passes to the third phase after clear this you can go for interview round ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA #Qualification Candidate must have graduation Degree in any stream,No specific marks are required,Final year students are also eligible #.Age Limits For gen-21-30 years For obc- 21-33 years For sc/st- 21-35 years #.Attempts General- 4 Obc- 7 Sc/st- no limit Notification for the next exam will come out on 2nd February 2013 Prelims exams will be held on 19th May 2013 Mains will held on 08-11-2013 Good luck..... |

Re: How to become a police officer? exams? If you want to be in a good position in police department then the best exam you can go through is Civil service examination conducted by the UPSC board. The test comprises of three stages 1.preliminary test 2.mains 3.personal interview If you get selected in the first two stages then you can select your desired option of IPS from a group of options like IAS,IFS..etc. There is even a exam conducted by UPSC termed SSC CPO for posts of Sub inspectors. UPSC conducts the entrance every year for it,selection is Three step procedure civil services-prelims followed by civil service-mains,then GD & PI,after that a medical fitness test.Then you will undergo at training after that ou will be appointed as a IPS officer.
