CS stands for Company Secretary. This course is conducted by Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Basically there are three stages in this course which you have to clear in order to complete your company secretary course. Apart from these three stages you also have to go for 15 months of training in any company. You can't complete any stage in less than 9 months. The three stages in Company Secretary course are- a)- Foundation Course b)- Executive Program c)- Professional Course  Eligibility Criteria:- -->>In order to apply for the foundation course the minimum required educational qualifications is that you should have completed your 12th class in any stream from a recognized university. -->>In order to apply for Executive program you should have completed foundation course or you should have completed your graduation in any stream from a recognized university. For applying Executive program your age should not be less than 17 years. -->>After passing the exceutive program examination ,you can register for the professional program. You can register yourself any time in ICSI for pursuing this course throughout the year and this exam is conducted 2 times in a year june & december. Fee Structure:- Foundation Program- Rs.3600 Executive Program- Rs.7000 Professional Program-Rs.9000  Subjects in CS course:- Foundation Programme:- 1. English and Business Communication 2. Economics and Statistics 3. Financial Accounting 4. Elements of Business Laws and Management Executive Programme:- Module I 1. General and Commercial Laws 2. Company Accounts, Cost and Management Accounting 3. Tax Laws Module II 4. Company Law 5. Economic and Labour Laws 6. Securities Laws and Compliances Professional Program:- Module I 1. Company Secretarial Practice 2. Drafting, Appearances and Pleadings Module II 3. Financial, Treasury and Forex Management 4. Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency Module III 5. Strategic Management, Alliances and International Trade 6. Advanced Tax Laws and Practice Module IV 7. Due Diligence and Corporate Compliance Management 8. Governance, Business Ethics and Sustainability

Intermediate-needs to be a graduate 3. Final-must qualify all the 2 stagas above After completing all the 3 stges a candidate must go for the practical training for 16months so that He can become the member of ICSI. Payment Option : The payment can be sent to the Headquarters by demand draft drawn in favour of ‘The Institute of Company Secretaries of India payable at New Delhi OR by cash across the counter from the Headquarters, Regional Offices & a few of the Chapters. Fee Structure for CS Course The fee for CS Foundation Programme is - Rs. 2600/- for Executive Programme - Rs. 7500/- for Commerce Graduates while - Rs. 7350/- for Non Commerce Students According to the latest information- . Final-must qualify all the 2 stagas above After completing all the 3 stges a candidate must go for the practical training for 16months so that He can become the member of ICSI. CS Course Details Career as a Company Secretary is not only prestigious and financially rewarding but also carries with it a high level of job satisfaction. Stages to become a Company Secretary The student who would like to join the Course after 10+2 has to undergo three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course i.e. Foundation Programme Executive Programme Professional Programme In addition, the student has to undergo Practical Training for about 15 months which a student may opt to start after passing the Executive Programme. The Student who would like to join the Course after passing the Graduation has to undergo two stages of the Company Secretaryship i.e. Executive Programme Professional Programme Besides, the student has to undergo Practical Training for about 15 months. Foundation Programme which is of eight months duration can be pursued by 10+2 pass students of Arts, Science or Commerce stream Executive Programme can be pursued by a Graduate of all streams except Fine Arts. Professional Programme can be pursued only after clearing the Executive Programme of CS Course.Training: A Student has to undergo 15 months Management Training in Companies sponsored by the Institute after passing the Executive or Professional Programme or under the guidance of a Company Secretary in Practice. After qualifying Professional Examination and on successful completion of training a candidate is admitted as an Associate Member of the ICSI and can use the letters ACS after his/her name i.e. Associate Company Secretary. Admission to the CS Course is open throughout the year. Examinations are held twice a year in June & December. Cut off dates for admission to CS course: For Foundation Programme 31st March for appearing in December Examination in the same year 30th September for June Examination next year For Executive Programme 28th February for December Exams in the same year, 31st August for June Exam next year CS Prospectus can be obtained from any of the offices of the Institute across India and Cost of Prospectus for Foundation Programme : Rs. 200/- by cash payment while Rs. 250/- by Post or courier Cost of Prospectus for the Executive Programme : Rs. 300/- by cash payment while Rs.350/- by Post or courier Payment Option : The payment can be sent to the Headquarters by demand draft drawn in favour of ‘The Institute of Company Secretaries of India payable at New Delhi OR by cash across the counter from the Headquarters, Regional Offices & a few of the Chapters.
