Re: Percentage required to attend civil services exam?

You did not mention your highest level of academic qualification which is mandatory in confirming your eligibility to civil services Exam.

Civil Services Exam is the common written exam for the candidates to be placed in various civil services like
Indian Administrative Service
Indian Police Service
Indian Revenue Service etc.

The complete selection procedure would involve
Civil Services Aptitude Test
Civil Services Main Exam
Interview

One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university in order to be eligible for this Exam.

No minimum percentage of marks are required for the candidates in Graduation. Successful completion of Graduation is more than enough.

Candidates who have appeared for final year exams of Graduation and waiting for the results can also apply for this Exam.

The required age limit will be as follows

Candidates of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category.

So, if you fulfill the above mentioned criteria, you can have good preparation and apply for CSAT Exam.

Wish you all the best.

Civil Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission and as per the commission guidelines, a graduate can sit for the Civil Service Examination regardless of the stream followed and marks scored in the bachelors degree examinations.
So, in simple words, there is no percentage criteria to be considered eligible for the Civil Service Examination. However, apart from being a graduate, one needs to be within the age limit of 21-30 years and the maximum age limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories as follows:

For candidates belonging to SC/ST category: 35 years
For candidates belonging to OBC category: 33 years

For more information related to the examination, refer to the official website of Union Public Service Commission.
