For the clerk posts it is necessary to have +2 degree course from a recognised board with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for most of the banks (except SBI bank). For the PO post it is necessary to have a bachelor degree course in any stream from a recognised university with good percentile, also for the clerk post of the SBI ,one must have a bachelor degree in any stream . |

Re: Minimum qualification required for any post in bank? Hi, For any bank 50000 salary will not be offered from beginning itself. But you can get it in 1 or 2 years. The qualification for attending bank exam is to have a degree with good percentage. you have to clear the IBPS PO (probationary officer) or SO (specialist officer) examination. After that you will be called for an interview. Both your exam score and the interview score will be considered for your posting. Thank You. |

Re: Minimum qualification required for any post in bank? We have public sector banks and private sector banks in India. Private sector banks offer much salaries for many of the positions in bank than public sector banks. If you want to receive a minimum of Rs.50000/- salary just by joining in a position, you should have some prior experience. They will consider your previous experience in the banks and they will give some hike on your previous salary. This is what will happen in most of the banks or any other companies. You did not mention the details like -Your highest level of academic qualification -Your experience details. If you are a fresher, I am sorry you can not get that much salary from any bank. Maximum you can receive Rs.35000/- from ICICI for PO position. What I would like to suggest you is, don't put much attention on the salary that you will get from a bank. Why because there are number of candidates in India who are trying to get a bank job due to prospective career and job security. In addition, the competition is huge for bank exams. So, try to get job in bank and then think about the salary. Wish you all the best. |

I am 30 yrs old, My education qualification is as follows : SSC - 65.60 % HSC - 54.50 % BCOM -54.57 % MCOM - 46.63 % (Aggregate) I belong to Schedule Caste and have certificate for the same. Please advice me whether I am eligible to appear for any bank course/ exams in future. Also what additional courses or certification required for bank job preferances. Bank exams generally conducted by SBI and IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection) for 19 Public sector banks for the post of Clerical and P.O. post. Eligibility for SBI Clerical Exam:- -The candidate must be an Indian National. -Should have either completed 12th exam with 60% marks in any stream from a recognised Board or having completed Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 18 to 28 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. -Should be a computer literate one. Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Clerical Exam:- -The candidate must be an Indian National. -Should have completed Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 20 to 28 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. -Should be a computer literate one. For the PO post: You should be passed the graduation in any bachelor degree with atleast 55% marks from any recognized university. For the Clerk post: you should be passed the 12th with atleast 55% marks from any recognized university. Age must be between the 21 to 30 years. 5 years age relaxation for the Sc/St or 3 years age relaxation for the OBC. Candidate must be an Indian. Cool.... |
