Re: What are the government job oppotunities available for ECE? dear friend, As you are from ECE branch then you will get more opportunity to get a job than the any other stream.. As you can apply for the job in any sector.. You can get a job in core sector as well as in govt. sector.. The govt. organisations where you can apply for a job are mention below- 1.ISRO 2.DRDO 3.BARC 4.BHEL 5.SAIL 6.BEL 7.BSNL JTO(Telecom) 8.NTPC 9.MTNL 10.ECIL etc.. You can also apply for the administrative jobs through UPSC exams like - IAS,IPS,IFS,IES. All the best. |

Re: What are the government job oppotunities available for ECE? You can appear for IES exams which is held every year for recruiting engineers to goverment departments. You can even appear for this exam in your final year of engineering. There are four categories in IES exams for Mechanical, electrical, civil and electronics engineers. For electronics & comm. category there are the following posts available:- 1)Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers. 2) Indian Railway Stores Service (Tele-communication/Electronics Engineering Posts). 3) Indian Ordnance Factories Service (Engineering Branch) (Electronics Engineering Posts). 4) Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts). 5) Central Power Engineering Service (Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering Posts). 6)Assistant Executive Engineer Group ‘A’ (Electronics Engineering Posts) in the Corps of E.M.E., Ministry of Defence. 7) Engineer Gr."A" in Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation; M/o Communication and Information Technology (D/o Telecommunication) 8) Assistant Naval Store officer Grade I (Electronics & Telecom Engineering Posts) in Indian Navy. In addition to these you can also appear for entrance exams of various PSU's like SAIL, BHEL, NTPC, ONGC, IPCL, BPCL, Power grid etc for the post of trainee engineer. |

You can join firms like BSNL through JTO, write the Engineering Services Exam Apply for BHEL BEL ECIL BARC Trainees NTPC ECIL SAIL MTNL Cracking IES (indian engineering services) is the best way of getting a government job.Group I and Group II services exams also provide a wide era of Opportunities for ECE grads. Indian Railways DRDO also advertise for few Btech ECE graduates. |
