AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (AME) He is an license engineer He will certify Aircraft. You need at least 5 years of Maintenance experience + Type training on particular type of aircraft. Roughly say you need 5 years of experience as a AMT (Aircraft Maintenance Technician) To become an AME (AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE Engineer)
Aircraft maintenance Technician (AMT) is person who will assist AME . AME is an responsible person.
After completion of AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING Airline will hire ppl as a Trainee tech/ Junior tech/Aircraft Maintenance Tech . Then after successfully passing of all DGCA papers depends on which strem you have choosen you can apply for AME license. If you can not pass papers still dont worry you will promoted as SENIOR AMT , MASTERT AMT, then TECHNICAL CORDINATOR , and Foreman. Foreman is responsible to handle or tech force in that shift .I hope you understand all information very clearly. Thank you.
