Department of Pre-University Education Karnataka (PUE Board) Computer Science Papers are divided into two sections, both aimed at challenging students to test their understanding of the subject. The first section consists of objective type questions from topics like parts of the CPU, the fundamental units of a computer, definition of key terms like iteration, fundamentals of binary search, syntax of function prototype, the role of pointer variables, secondary keys and their functions, the exact definition of chatting and so on. These questions are high scoring and must be prepared for well by the student. The second section of the paper consists of long answer questions from topics like specifications of inkjet printers, different methods of sorting data, construction of top down designs, input and output operations of a one- dimensional array, the structure and role of a user defined function and so on.
