Re: Can I use better of my last two GATE scores? GATE score is valid for a period of two years. So, you can use the better score better score out of the two scores. As far as coaching is concerned, what i say that it would be to go for coaching and at the same time I won't say that coaching is compulsory. If you are having the capability or ability to prepare on your own, you can prepare yourself. But in the coaching institutes, you will come to know that the repeated questions that were asked and their pattern, the way how to prepare some topics and many other things. Even self preparation for exam also brings good results. Practicing previous year examination papers, going through GATE questions and answers book. Only thing that is required is proper planning to complete syllabus in time and much better practice. |

Going to coaching classes will give you a clear idea about the examination format.You will come to know which type of questions will come for the exam.So,going to coaching classes along with self study will definitely gain you. all the best |

Dear Friend, Now the GATE score validity is up to 2yr from result published. yes from now if you are going to appear two times in a consecutive year ,then you can use any of the score card upto its validity. study hard as well as maintain a time table for GATE preparation. You will get study materials from more sites specially from 1:www.examrace.com/biotechnologystudymater. 2:www.biotechnology4u.com. Good luck. |

Re: Can I use better of my last two GATE scores? it has been stated clearly in the GATE2010 brochure,that score is valid for 2yrs although I am still not sure about which score is considered. |

Re: Can I use better of my last two GATE scores? dear friend as per norm of previous year GATE rule,you will use your GATE score card for only 1 year but in this year GATE score card will valid for 2 year,so if you have two GATE score card then you will not take admission on the basis of previous year GATE score. You have to take admission on the basis of current GATE score card. all the best. |

Re: Can I use better of my last two GATE scores? hi aparna, now a days the GATE score cards are valid for only one year.so you cannot use you better score cards among the two years. and the point of attending the coaching classes, coaching classes surely helps you to improve your score in GATE,because they have a rich and specific question banks,experience faculty,who will guide you to the right path. so i suggest you to attend coaching classes. |

Re: Can I use better of my last two GATE scores? The announcement has been made from this year that the gate score is valid for that particular year and not for the consecutive years so it is not possible for you to use best of the two gate scores. |

Re: Can I use better of my last two GATE scores? gate score will not be valid more than two years ... if u are appearing this year you can use this score to get admissions till march 15 2012 ..... if you are not satisfied with your score this year you can appear next year also and for that u will get validity period till march 15 2013 ........ you can use either of these score which you find better for admission by 2012 and not more than that ..... all the best ...... prepare well for your examz .......... few days only remainin..... |

U refer to websites for GATE previous year question papers and materials. GATE forum,GATE mentor... Since im in pre final year,I will go only in final year for coaching classes. Coaching classes will help to solve problems in an easy and quick way.... They will teach us to think in a better way.... |

Re: Can I use better of my last two GATE scores? Aparna, Your GATE score is valid for only one year from the date of announcement of GATE results. So, if you want to use your previous GATE score and your one year has not yet expired, you can use your GATE score. But in case, if you have crossed the limit of one year, you need to apply again. To get the study material for Biotechnology, you can search 'Study Material of Biotechnology' in Google. Many options are available there to get your study material. Coaching classes are also much useful but if you don't want to join this, you need to work hard to make a good score in GATE exams. All the Best |
