Re: Can a computer engineer apply for MPSC and UPSC exam? UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission. Every year UPSC will conduct number of Entrance Exams to recruit the candidates into various public services. Some of the popular Entrance Exams are NDA Exam Civil Services Exam CDS Exam IFS Exam IES Exam etc. As you are a Computer Engineer, it would be better for you to apply for IES (Indian Engineering Services) Exam so that you will be placed in any of the following Engineering Services like Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. To be eligible to apply for this Exam, You should have successfully completed your Engineering course. Required age criteria will be 21-30 years for the candidates of General category 21-33 years for the candidates of OBC category This Relaxation in upper age limit will be upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. You can also apply for CDS Exam to be placed in Defence services like Indian Military Academy Indian Naval Academy Indian Air Force Academy And also for Civil Services Exam to be placed in civil services like Indian Administrative Service Indian Police Service Indian Foreign Service etc. Choose the Entrance Exam as per your interest and have good preparation for the same.
