After the completion of the bachelors degree program from a recognized University, there are many post graduate Law courses which one can look to opt through distance mode. However these courses are not regulated by Bar Council of India and after the completion of the program candidate wont be able to practice in a court of Law. But these programs will be beneficial for Company Secretaries, Chartered Accountants, MBAs, etc.

Some of the Law programs offered by different Institutes are:

  • Master of Business Laws
  • PG Diploma in Human Rights Law
  • PG Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics
  • PG Diploma in Environmental Law
  • PG Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law
  • PG Diploma in Cyber Laws and many more.
The duration of the Masters degree is two years while Post Graduate degree are of one year.

Some of the recognized Universities which provide these programs through distance mode are:
  • The National Law School of India University [NLSIU], Bangalore
  • NationalLawUniversity, Jodhpur
  • The Indian Law Institute, New Delhi
  • Annamalai University.
