Re: Disadvantages of coaching classes for entrance exams? Hi Entrance Examinations are the ones in which candidates from whole of India participate in them. So nowadays there is a new trend of the coaching centres which have come up and they provide a comprehensive teaching for these entrances. Mainly IIT, AIEEE, GATE, IES, Medical, etc coaching are given. So a few disadvantages that are related to these coaching centres and classes are : 1. It reduces the natural brain efficiency of many students who may have done better if they have studied themselves. 2. It is a lot more confusing for many students as they hold classes in batches of more than 5- or even 80 students at a time. 3. The pace is very fast there, so many find it difficult to go along with the batch , resulting in lag behind and ultimately cannot finish the syllabus. 4. It may lead to demotivation when a person sees others do much well than him/her. 5. Tiring and Wastage of time : As the classes are held all day long, whereas the mind span of humans are not such. So the grasping power goes down, and thus ultimately it gets you tired and also wastes time. Otherwise there are a few benefits too, but it would be better if you study on your own. HI dear, for every thing there are few advantages as well as few disadvantages. similarly to take admission in coaching classes also there are few disadvantages. some of the disadvantages are 1. coaching center provide a short way of study. this reduces the depth of knowledge in the study. 2. there are so many student who take admission in coaching institution to get only the short way to solve the problem. when they get the study materials the started just to remember the formula and the way of solving. the do not think about how it is solved od different way to solve same problem. 3. coaching center reduces thinking power they just start one competition between the students. 4. coaching center creates lots of pressure in the student mind. some time students are get affected by this. 5. there are so many coaching center in which the person who are setting the paper is connected. they some time gives the question in their test. this is totally unfair for the student those want to crack the examination by self study. these are generally the disadvantages of coaching institution. but now a days to win the race of study coaching centers are very much useful. 1)They teach in a bulk which are not helpful for the weak students as teachers cannot solve the problems of weak student. 2)Secondly they charge a handsome money for any courses they provide without any gurantee that the candidate will succeed. 3)They often give stress on hard sets of question underestimating the easier one.The price of which are paid by the candidates in long run. 4)Some candidates has to travel a lot in order to attend their classes in these institutes which lessens their time for self study. Advantages of Coaching Classes : 1) You will be provided with the exact study materials for preparation of the exam wherein self study needs lot of time spared just to find the exact books to study. 2) Helps to learn the short cut methods whenever needed wherein its hard to find if you are not that much aware of the subject. 3) Helps to spare a valuable time of preparation while it wont happen when you are doing self-study cause we have our own time to study which wont work out sometime  4) Doubts cleared in time without keeping it in mind for longtime which helps you to increase the interest in preparation.. Disadvantages of Coaching Centres 1) There are lot of coaching centres available today which are fake they just take your money and will do nothing even they wont provide proper materials for you. 2) Most of the time they will teach you the short cut methods but wont explain how to do it which makes yourself just to mug it up than to understand it. 3) Waste of time in travelling to the coaching centre where you can use it to study if its self. 4) Sometimes you lose your hope for preparation because of the worst teaching in the coaching centre These are some of the advantages and disadvantages of coaching centres.. my advice to you will be if you preparing for IIT or AIEEE or some other very important competitive exams then just try to find the good coaching centre in your area and join in it if not you have the capability to study in own then dont even try to sort the coaching centres just do it on your own....hope the info. helps ..All the Best...

Re: Disadvantages of coaching classes for entrance exams? disadvantages of coaching classes for entrance exams depends upon the persons.. according to me i'm going to list my points.. ->if not used properly money is waste. ->if not used effectively time waste. ->if not concentrated properly then your subject knowledge going to be in deeps ->proper coach is required for competitive exams but it is not neccessary if you have strong determination. ->if you don't sacrifice some of your comforts then your going to face problems. so these are the disadvantages regarding coaching institutes.. remember one thing each and every person will have their own likes and dislikes. so consider these points just as an experiences of seniors. and make your own decision. all the best ~aditya~! |

It also brings discipline in students lifestyle. Advantages and disadvantages are upto the students. An individual who understands the value of time and money, will always utilize the resources to have a better career. A good coaching center is always a better place to complete the course of study within given time. A good coaching center have qualified teachers and experts who guides the students in the best way. To qualify any entrance exam, you will need professionals and experts to guide you and help you to overcome any obstacles in the way.Therefore, if you have a positive frame of mind, you will never find any disadvantages of coaching center. |

Re: Disadvantages of coaching classes for entrance exams? look in india specially there is large gap b/w the level of 10th and 11th class and entrance exam...i must say there is nothing bad in joining coaching center 1)It will help you to fight for long time with tough question i.e you ll get to learn the art of "never give up" 2)It will help you to increase your IQ 3)joining coaching center does not mean you ll get rid of self study...in coaching center they ll first teach you basic and then tricks ..but to understand or gauge the depth of any chapter you need to go for self study through some good books 4)But you have to manage the time for school and institute..like whenever any new chapter gets start in institute first finished the same through your school books..then your institute study material All the best |

Every coin has two faces. so Coachings has also two parts- advantage and disadvantage. i am listing some of disadvantages below : (1)Coaching are responsible for reducing thinking power of a student. (2)Coaching provides the teaching of shortcut tricks to solve the question and this prevents students for solving through other methods. (3)It is due to coaching that students are focusing only on cracking entrance exams rather than getting knowledge. (4)Sometime students feel difficult to handle the pressure situation at coaching and sometimes it may result into some mental and psychological problems. (5)Coaching are exerting pressure on those students who prepare though self study. (6)Students are lacking depth of knowledge because in coaching they learn only shortcut tricks to solve the problems. But today most of the people thinks that coaching is necessary so it is in full practice now. There is nothing wrong in this .you can join coaching if you want to get success in short time. |

The reason is that vacancies are less and No of candidates are more so percentage is going high. But coaching classes have some advantages and some disadvantages also some of them are as follows. 1. Finencial loss to the students. 2. Student belongs to the poor family can not take coaching because it is to expensive. 3. They do not teach elaboratly or you can say they go for short cuts. 4.
