The exam will cover areas like quantitative aptitude, verbal ability. Also there will be a section on analytical writing. You will need to write two essay on issues and argument. It is an online exam. If you want to go Masters course in countries in US you need to have cleared this exam.

GRE Exams

GRE is Graduate Record Examination conducted by Educational Testing Services, United States of America. The score evaluates the person on the basis of which one can apply to different universities abroad for pursuing masters or joining fellowship and research programmes.

The GRE General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills that are not related to any specific field of study.

GRE pattern is going to get revised in August 2011. So, you can view updates regarding the same from the wesitehttp://www.ets.org
