Dear prachi, Every student who wants to make his/her career in fashion technology want to take admission in NIFT but only few students are selected in it. In year 2012 About NIFT: National Institute of fashion technology is a fashion institute of India. It was set up in 1986 under the Ministry of Textiles, India. Now it has been granted under the act of parliament 2006. There are 14 NIFTs which had centers at Mumbai, Kolkata, Kangra, Patna, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Raebareli, Shillong, Bhopal, Taliparamba, Bhubaneswar and Jodhpur where it offers four-year bachelor and two-year master programmes in the areas of Design, Management and Technology. NIFT entrance exam is conducted by NIFT New DELHI. Eligibility for bachelor design course:The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. or A candidate has a three/four year diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education. NIFT Exam Pattern: For undergraduate programme NIFT exam is held in following stages. GAT(General Ability Test), CAT(Common Ability Test) and Section Test. a) General Ability Test: This test contains following sections: 1) Quantitative Ability: This section test your mathematical ability on Addition, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Percentage, Rate of Interest, Work and Task, Ratio and Proportion, Distance, Profit & Loss, Algebra and Geometry etc. 2)Communication Ability: This section tests your language and communication ability. 3)Analytical and Logical Ability : It test's the candidates logical reasoning and creativity of candidate's thinking. 4)General Knowledge and Current Affairs : This section test your's general Knowledge about your country's history, geography, politics and about current affairs.
