BSF stands for Border Security Force Eligibility criteria: Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination or Intermediate or equivalent examination of a Recognized Board of Education or University OR Matriculation with three years ‘Diploma in Secretarial Practice or modern office practice or Commercial practice from a recognized Board of Technical education Typing/ Short Hand speed: 30 wpm in English or 25 wpm in Hindi on computers. Age limit: Between 18 to 25 years (Relaxable for the Government Servants, the Scheduled Caste and the Scheduled Tribes, other backward classes and Ex-serviceman) Age relaxation: SC/ ST 5 years, OBC 3 years Pay scale: Pay Band-1, Rs 5200 – 20200 with grade pay of Rs. 2400 Physical standards For Male Candidates Height : 165 cms (for General, SC, ST and OBC candidates of all States). Chest : Unexpanded – 77 cms/ Expanded – 82 cms Weight : Corresponding to Height Selection Procedure The candidate’s overall performance will be judged for final recruitment. The selection shall be held in two phases as under: - A. First Phase Written Examination B. Second Phase Physical Measurement (PST) Typing Speed Test (only for HC (Min) Documentation (Checking of Documents) Medical Examination. There shall be sufficient gap between the two phases of the tests. |
