Dear friend
please do not lose your cool over mistakes in books.. those are mostly typographical errors.
Anyhow books are our main source of preparation. To minimize third party error
refer to more than one book.. and only from reputed publishers.
further there is no dearth of materials on net and you can get lots of quality material and ..free online tests.
Practice as much as you can and also use good reference books. that way you will get good practice and foolproof knowledge.

Re: Pattern(weightage type) of GATE examination?

Dear Friend

Sometimes it happens in commercial books.
I have suggested GK Publishers books to many GATE aspirants and I never heard a
problem as of yours. So, I suggest you to refer this book.

If you want to see the question paper pattern and weightage data of different topics
then you should better refer the previous year questions.

As you have not mentioned the stream in which you are appearing GATE.
So I can't attach any of the previous year question paper of GATE.

You can visit the following websites to download GATE question papers.

http://www.engineeringpapers.edufever.com/
http://gate.iitm.ac.in/

Thank You

Pattern(weightage type) of GATE examination?

I wish to have a question paper pattern(Not number of questions).
This is the first time i'm appearing for GATE
I wish to crack it in the first attempt.
I'm fed up with certain publishers who sell books with MCQs with wrong answers (Books published for commercial purpose)
Before i appear for the exam i wish to test myself for a personnel satisfaction.
Hope this will give me a confidence.
Kindly do the needful.

With expectations,
Kaviarasi.
