For NDA exam: Age Limits: 16 ½ – 19 years – Age limit is counted such that the candidate should not cross the age of 19 & 1/2 till the date of commencement of course which is 01 July for every year. Re: Any age relaxation for SC candidates to sit for NDA exam? For all category candidates have the same age relaxation to sit in NDA exam. Unmarried male candidates only Age between 16 1/2 to 19 years are eligible to write the NDA Exam. |

NDA is a Defence Entrance examination will be conducted twice a year and which gives admission into 2 defence academy. 1)National Defence Academy 2)Naval Academy. UPSC conducts exam twice a year. Once in mid April and second time in mid August. As you requested to know about age relaxation, here i am letting you know about that. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates unlike other entrance tests. The age that one must possess in order to appear for the exam is in between 16 1/2 years to 19 years. You also need to have physical standards set by UPSC So if you belong to that age group and if you satisfy the academic qualifications then you are eligible to sit for the NDA exam. Academic Eligibility : -Candidate must have passed 12th or equivalent examination. -For Air force/ Navy wings of NDA , you must have studied your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics -For Army wings of NDA, any candidate who have completed 10+2 is eligible. -However pursuing candidates can also eligible to apply for the exam. But they have to show the proof by the time when UPSC asked for . |

Educational Eligibility For NDA Exam - A candidate pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised board. B. Age Eligibility For NDA Exam - 16 Years to 21 Years for General candidates, 16 Years to 24 Years for OBC candidates and 16 Years to 27 Years for SC / ST candidates. C. Physical Eligibility For NDA Exam - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit. 1. Eye Sight = 6/6, 2. Height = 167 cms, 3. Weight: 50 Kg 4. Chest: 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding) All the Best |

Upsc selects energetic, young and determinate youth of our country through NDA and NA examination in army,navy and airforce for officer cadre post. There is on such age relaxation to any category. The age limit is fixed and only unmarried young male individuals are eligible for this exam. It has only a fixed criteria which is- Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status : A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and less than 19 years. Educational Qualifications : The candidate must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply. Dear friend,, A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination. But there is no such age relaxation for SC/ST students. |
