Re: Difference between ICSE syllabus and CBSE syllabus? my point of view icse so much great ahead than cbse because the topics students study in the cbse in 9th class had been already studied by icse students in the 6th class etc and also in the upper classes they give more importance to english than the cbse |

Re: Difference between ICSE syllabus and CBSE syllabus? In ICSE, you have a number of subjects but they are taught extensively, in details. So it's helpful in future, no matter what you study. Besides, the English level is higher and more advantageous in ICSE, as two separate papers are taught in the form of English Literature and English Language, developing better writing and speaking skills. |

Re: Difference between ICSE syllabus and CBSE syllabus? HI dear, ICSE all the way. It's much more detailed than cbse. If one compares text books, we'll see that ICSE covers things in a much more in-depth manner. And don't even get me started on cbse's coverage of the English language. While they study a few short stories in 11th standard, icse students at the same time have already studied William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar and will study Shakespeare's Macbeth. That clearly shows the difference in standard. ICSE was the first syllabus introduced in India and then it was "refined" to form CBSE. I've been a student of icse for all these years and never had a chance to regret it. Thnks |
