hello dear, no, you are not eligible for merchant navy...... UPSC conducts NDA exam twice in a year through which you can be admitted in the following academy; -national defence academy -NAVAL -Merchant navy for which the eligibility criteria is; -you must be 12th with minimum 60% marks in PCM stream -your age should be between 16.5-19 as you got 46% marks in your 12th so you are not eligible for merchant navy for details you can visit the link; www.upsc.gov.in |

 Well there are two aspects in Merchant Navy
For Nautical science and Marine engineering Educational Qualification : You should have passed your 10+2 or an equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics. For Navigational and Engineering fields of Merchant Navy Educational Qualification : You must complete a Bachelors degree in Nautical Science or Marine engineering. Age : Age should not be more than 20 years. Those belonging to the SC/ST have this rule relaxed by about 5 yrs. Selection : Selection is based on the Joint Entrance Examination given by the IIT. Courses

So you will not be eligible for this stream. You need to assess your strengths and based on that select the options available. goodluck |

Also English should be amongst the languages studied. The candidate should have secured a minimum of 55% in these subjects. So you will not be eligible for this stream. You need to assess your strengths and based on that select the options available. |
