NDA exam means National Defence Service exam. NDA exam conduct by UPSC every year. Eligibility criteria for NDA exam : Candidate must have passed higher secondary exam with 55% marks from any recognized board or university(This exam does not require any particular subject). Candidate must be an Indian citizen. Candidate must be a male candidate. Candidate must be an unmarried candidate. Candidate must be physically and mentally fit candidate. First of all i want to tell you onething about Indian army i.e there are two ways to join in indian army after 12th standard you have to apply NDA(National Defence Academy) and after graduation you have to apply CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam and these two exams are conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice in every year. Eligibility criteria for NDA:- The candidate should be complete 12th standard from an aggregate state board. But for airforce and navy you must have PCM subjects in 12th standard. One thing you have to remember in this NDA i.e girls are not eligible for NDA only unmarried male candidates should only eligible. The candidates age should be in between 16.5 years to 19 years. Candidate must be a citizen of india and physically fit. Percentage is not required for this exam. Eligibility criteria for CDS:- The candidate should be complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university. Percentage is not required to appear this exam and final year candidates should also be eligible. The candidate should be a citizen of india. Male and female candidates are also eligible. Exam pattern:- paper i is mathematics of 300 marks paper ii is the general ability divided into two parts:- part A is english of 200 marks part B is general knowledge of 400 marks so total 900 marks For CDS exam here is the complete eligibility criteria:- 1. For Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent 2. For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering 3. In order to join Indian Army through NDA Examination , you have to be in the age group of 16.5-19 year and must have completed your 12th with a minimum of 45% marks so that if you qualify the NDA entrance examination then you can be selected. In order to join Indian Army through CDS , Your age must lie in between 21-30 years and you must have completed your graduation from any recognized college / university with Maths as one of your subjects.
