Dear aspirant,
  • IIT-JEE exam stands for Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Exam.
  • This exam is regarded as one of the toughest engineering entrance exam in India.
  • This exam is conducted jointly by all IITs for admission to UG courses in IITs offered by them.
  • Every year about 5 lakhs candidates appear for this exam and about 9600 candidates get seats in IITs.
  • Selection Ratio is 50:1.

  • If a candidate has to appear in this exam.
  • He/she must be eligible for this exam.
  • Firstly, he/she must have attained at least 60% marks or above in 10+2.
  • Also, he/she can give IIT-JEE exam twice only in consecutive years.
  • You can visit this page for more Eligibility criteria: jee.iitm.ac.in/eligibility.php

  • But from now, IIT-JEE and AIEEE has been transformed into ISEET Exam.
  • ISEET Exam will be commenced from 2013.
  • Notifications about this exam will be released nearly in October or November.
  • It will have two stages i.e. JEE-Mains and JEE-Advanced.

I can guess you are asking about IITJEE.If so then let me give a brief account.

Any Candidate who is willing to become a Branded Engineer. Or we can say who wants IIT brand to be merge with his/her Engineering dergee can appear for IITJEE.

Candidate must also satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria as follows (AS IT IS PRINTED IN INFORMATIOM BROUCHER):-
Candidate must passed any of the following dergee.


i) The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted
by any recognized central / state Board, such as
Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi;
Council for Indian School Certificate Examination,
New Delhi; etc.

ii) Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination
conducted by a recognized Board / University.

iii) Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint
Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.

iv) General Certificate Education (GCE) examination
(London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced
(A) level.

v) High School Certificate Examination of the
Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate
Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office,
Geneva.

vi) Any Public School/Board/University examination in
India or in any foreign country recognized as
equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association
of Indian Universities (AIU).

vii) H.S.C. vocational examination.

viii) Senior Secondary School Examination conducted
by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a
minimum of five subjects.

ix) 3 or 4 year Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state
Board of technical education.

anyone who has cleared 10+2 can apply for IIT EXAMS and you have only two attempts to crack IIT so if you are ready to work hard with full determination then you should go for IIT.BEST OF LUCK for your preparations and exams.

People whose background is mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with percentage not less than 60 can appear for IIT-JEE.

Even you may be a CBSE 12th standard student or State Board Intermediate student. You are eligible to write this exam.

Only thing is that you should be creative and work hard.

hi friend,

Any 12 th passed candidate who:
- passed it with 60%marks for GEN and 55% marks for sc/st
-not be more than 25years of age as the oct. month of the pre-exam year.
-passed it in current or pre current year.
are eligible to appear in IIT-JEE exam.
Since IIT-JEE exam allow one to sit in only two times so you have to see when you use these chances.

Anyone who is studying +12 with maths & science as their subjects can appear for IIT exam. Or else you can attend it after completing your +12 exams and one more thing you can give it twice in consecutive years or else if you are not able to get a seat in these two attempts you are fired out.
Most probably all the students are intrested to write this IIT exam while studying +12.

Hello friend,
One who can secured minimum 60% marks in 12 including mathematics as a main subject can appear for the IITJEE exam.
this is the most tough exam in india, so to crack IITJEE you need to work hard follow important books for it.

answering to your first question...any candidate who has passed 12th exam from recognised board with minimum 60% and compulsory subjects Physis,Chemistry, and mathematics is eligible for giving IIT

Now answering to your second question..you can do well in IIT if you are fundamentally strong and quick in thinking...which can be conquered through extreme practice and devotion....A good coaching centre also plays an important role...

with 60% marks with PCM..
you have 2 chance for this exam..
if your mind is sharp,understanding with subject is good,you know maths very well...
this is toughest engineering exam of india..

I think you are interested to know about IITJEE Eligibilty.

for appear in IIT exam you have to get at lest 60% marks in 12th board.also your subjects should include physics, chemistry and maths.

any student who is appearing in 12th class or have done 12th class is eligible for iit exam. one student can give iit exam only twice in consecutive years. student should have also taken non medical in 11th class because it is required to become eligible for the exam. iit is the most tough exam of engineering. after qualifying the exam, student gets admission in the topmost colleges of india. so it needs a lot of hardwork to pass the exam

Dear Friend,
everyone who are of science department generally they can appear for IIT.
it is known to everybody that IIT is one of the most toughest exam in India,

However ,you can go to IIT after 12th,for that you have to appear for IIT-JEE,it is the one of the toughest exam

for this entance exam you should clear basic knowledges in your subject, score minimum60 % in aggregate in 12th.

After any Bachelor Degree such as B.Tech,B.Sc etc you can appear in IIT for M.Tech through the entrance exam GATE/NET.

After your 12th you can appear for IITJEE to do your Btech in your interested department. But you have to work hard to get your choices Institute(any IIT) and Department.
You can join IIT to do M.Sc after your B.Sc through JAM(Joint Admission Test for M.Sc).
You can do Phd and M.Tech in IITs through NET/GATE.
Throught NET you cannot do your M.TEch only Phd.

one can appear for IIT with the following eligibility...
You should have an aggregate marks of 60% in class 12 including Maths... and you should be hard working.... because IIT is not at all easy amd you get only two chances in IIT..

it depends for what you are applying for
you can do
1- btech
2- mtech
3- bsc/ msc
& many more things so kindly 1st tell what is your wish, & dont worry iit-jee( for btech)
is not that tough now.. U just need to be methodic thats it.. You can enjoy tour life too.. Being an iit aspirant doesnt mean you have to be a robot . Anyway

Dear,
A student who is apperaring for 12th i.e is result awited or who has already appeared 12th nad there is only an year gap between 12th and yaer of giving exam is eligible for IIT-Jee.
There are now only two attempts for IIT and that is only two consecutive year.
No gap is allowed for giving the exam.

Hi Ankur
To be eligible for admission through IIT JEE yoy should have passed class 12th or equivalent with atleast 60% marks in aggregate. Besides that you should not be more than 25 years . Only those candidates who have passed 12th in 2009 or are appearing in 2010 can appear for IIT JEE.
Above are the eligibility and every one knows this criteria.
If you are a hard worker and you have vast knowledge then crack it , the path is yours.........

Any student who have cleared 12th std in science with 60% aggregate marks in PCM can appear for IITJEE

A diploma holder with 3 year of graduation can also appear for IIT JEE with 60% in his final year.

So prepare hard for JEE and dont consider it tough as others say.

1st criteria for appear in IIT JEE :- For GE condidate average marks of 10th & 10+2 should be 60% BUT st/sc average marks of 10th & 12th should be 55% .and limited two chance provide by IIT JEE.
