Re: Difference between B.Arch, B.Tech and Diploma?

B.Arch is engineering in the field of architecture. In the B.Tech stream there are many options like Electronics and Communications, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical etc. For admission for these courses you need to be 12th pass with both Physics and Chemistry and also Mathematics. The diploma course is not equivalent to degree course. For this course you need to have completed your 10th standard.

Diploma is not a degree course. It pre degree course. You can do Diploma after completing your 10th. Basically diploma course is equivalent to 10+2 level.
But both B.Tech and B.Arch are degree courses. for having those course, you must pass 10+2 level with science as your stream.
now I will tell you the difference between B.Arch and B.Tech.
B.Tech is generally known as engineering course. B.Tech and B.E are equivalent. But B.Arch is called bachellor of archiology and it is not same as b.Tech. B.Arch is a completely different field...........

Hope you get my points and cleared your question..........

Re: Difference between B.Arch, B.Tech and Diploma?

dear

B.Tech is professional degree which makes you an engineer

where as if you talk about B.Arch it is also a professional degree but it related

to architecture and makes you an architect while diploma is primary degree

which makes you industry oriented and makes you eligible for engineering

Re: Difference between B.Arch, B.Tech and Diploma?

hi...
both are completely different streams,
b.arch is for architecture and its an five year course, where as an b.tech is an four year graduation course ,the students of these two fields are graduates an are eligible to write various upsc and other government jobs and also eligible to do post graduation courses like mba or m.tech, these two courses are don after 12th class or diploma degree,
were as diploma is an three year course and don after 10th class ,you are not considered as graduates and are not eligible for any competitive exams of upsc based on this qualification, also you can do graduation after completing diploma course

Re: Difference between B.Arch, B.Tech and Diploma?

Dear Friend,

B.Arch. means Bachelor in Architecture (Course Duration - 4 Years)

B.Tech. means Bachelor in Technology (Course Duration - 4 Years)

and Diploma means Diploma in engineering (Course Duration - 3 Years)

All above are engineering courses, but B.Arch. and B.Tech. are equivalent courses and Diploma is lower course than B.Arch. and B.Tech.

B.Arch. and B.Tech. are degree courses.

All the best
