Re: How to do software engineering if I am a student of 11th standard After completing 12th with science subjects sucg as PCMB, PCMC, PCME etc you can write entrance exams such as CET, COMET K etc Try to get into engineering then choose CS or IT branch. After completing BE you will easily find as job. Alternately you can pursue BCA followed by MCA or BSC followed by MSC. This will also help you find a job in IT. |

Re: How to do software engineering if I am a student of 11th standard Many of the IT companies will in India will award the position of Software Engineer for the candidates who have completed B.Tech in Information Technology B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering or MCA So, you have to complete any of these courses in order to become a Software Engineer. As per your profile, it is understood that you have completed your 12th class with Commerce and Computer Science. In such a case, you are not eligible to join B.Tech course. But you can do MCA course. Before joining MCA course, you have to complete your Graduation with Mathematics as the compulsory subject and with computer science also. Soon after the completion of Graduation, you can have good preparation for the Entrance Exam to join MCA course. Each and every university will conduct its own Entrance Exam to give admission for MCA course. But if you want to get admission in NITs, you have to crack NIMCET Exam. Make sure that you will be securing a minimum of 60% of marks in all your academic levels which is the minimum criteria to make entry into any of the IT Companies. Get good subject knowledge in all the courses that you are going to join which is very much essential to get a job. Some of the top IT companies in India that are recruiting freshers are TCS Infosys Oracle IBM Syntel Polaris Dell etc. Wish you all the best. |

Re: How to do software engineering if I am a student of 11th standard sir, i am studying in 11th (state board) in dubai........ till 10th i studied cbse but now my parents have plan to settle down in kerala after my 11th annual xam but there are noo good school with state board Syllabus near to my home so is it possible for me to change again to cbse syllabus in 12th... i am really tensed abt this matter.......... i humbly request u 2 answer to this doubt |

Re: How to do software engineering if I am a student of 11th standard For software engineering you must have studied 10+2 with physics,chemistry and maths. If you have these subjects then you will be eligible for engineering entrance examination. There is another way of becoming software engineer but it will take 6 years to complete it. If you have studied maths or computer science in 10+2 then you can apply for BCA. After completion of BCA you can complete MCA which is also 3 years. MCA graduates are eligible to apply in software companies. There are many software companies in India like TCS, Wipro, Infosys etc. You must have a very good academic record to join these companies. You must have 60% marks in 10th, 12th and Degree courses . The selection is based on the written exam and interview. Those who have completed Engineering in Computer Science or MCA or M.Sc IT can apply for it. So you can go for BCA as you don't have PCM subjects in 10+2. There are many BCA colleges in India which give admission for this course. Admission will be based on the entrance examination. Hence if you want to get a top college then be prepared for the entrance exam. |
