cpt is an entrance exam for getting admission in ca(chartered accountant) course.
the exam is of 200 marks out of which you will have to score atleast 100 marks to qualify the exam.

PASSING MARKS OF CPT WILL BE INCREASING FROM 100 TO 120 FOR THE JUNE EXAMS, NEWS HAS BEEN DECLARED UNOFFICIALLY.IT WILL BE DECLARE NEXT YEAR OFFICIALLY..

Minimum marks to crack CPT is 100 out of total marks. The total marks is 200 for CPT exam.

Dear Friends,


Minimum marks required to crack CPT

Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test includes 4 subjects
in the examination. The candidate has to get at least passing marks
in all of the 4 subjects to qualify the CPT examination.
The 4 subjects are:

Accounting 60 marks

Mercantile Laws 40 marks

General Economics 50 marks

Quantitative Aptitude 50 marks

You have to score at least 30% marks in each subject.
and 50% marks in overall subjects to qualify the CPT
examination.

1. Aptitude (Quantitative)

minimum marks required to crack CPT examination is 50%. but it is discussing that it may rise to 60%.


there are four paper in CPT examination and the paper at present contains 200 marks divided as follows:
-Financial Accountancy -- 60 marks
-Quantitative Aptitude -- 50 marks
-General Economics -- 50 marks
-Mercantile Law -- 40 marks


There is no need to pass any individual subject. Only you need is to score at least 50% in aggregate. It is of no matter whether you scored even zero in any subject. Only over all 50% in aggregate is required.

HELLO,

Minimum marks required for CPT IS 100 out of 200.
you have to qualify each section in two papers of 100 marks.

There are four subjects are,
Accounting 60 marks
Mercantile Laws 40 marks
General Economics 50 marks
Quantitative Aptitude 50 marks


You have to score at least 30% marks in each subject.
and 50% marks in overall subjects to qualify the CPT
examination.

CA-CPT


CPT Examination is objective type test comprising of 4 subjects which are:

Fundamentals of Accounting – 60 marks
Mercantile Laws – 40 marks
General Economics – 50 marks
Quantitative Aptitude - 50 marks

Still the pass marks are 100 i.e. 50% and

Each subject has 30% of marks and aggregte 50% marks in four subjects is under consideration.

A candidate shall ordinarily be declared to have passed the Common Proficiency Test if he obtains at one sitting a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate of all the four subjects / sections comprised in CPT (Examination), subject to the principle of negative marking.

It is clarified that there is no requirement of securing minimum passing marks in a subject/section of CPT examination.

There will be negative marking for each wrong answer.
1/4 (One Fourth) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Please note that multiple darkened circles for a question will also be treated as wrong answer.

Dear friend this is totally depend on cut-off,how much cut-off is going then you can decide how much marks required to crack CPT EXAM............

because if the no. of candidate is very large amount then you can't decide previous how much required pass marks for CPT exam...........

how much seat is available and how much candidates qualify this exam then they can decide what is the minimum passing marks and they can only decide on the basis of no. of selected students..............

that's why this is totally depend on the EXAM-BOARD...............

Passing % :-

You Should score at-least 50% Overall Subjects to Crack CA-CPT.

Means In CA-CPT Pattern its of 200 Marks and To get Pass in this Exam you need to score at-least 100 Marks.

And yes Individual Marks also effects a lot you need to crack 30% in each Subject that means if a paper is of 50 marks then minimum Passing marks For this will be 15.


Note*

They do have Negative Marking for the same So be careful while attempting a question.

If you are Not sure then Do think afterwards after attempting known ones.
