You are not mentioned which year you are currently persuing but graduation final year persuing and graduation completed candidates are eligible for CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam, The complete details are given below: CDS exam eligibility criteria:- The candidate should be complete graduation from a recognised university. Final year graduation persuing candidates are eligible for this exam. Percentage is not required for this exam. The candidate should be a citizen of india. The candidate must be physically fit. Age criteria:- The age limits for Naval academy--> 19 years to 22 years, For Airforce academy--> 19years to 23 years, For Military academy--> 19 years to 24 years, For Officer training academy--> 19 years to 25years. Selection procedure:- Written test, Personal interview, Medical test. Scheme of exam:-  For more details visit below website www.upsc.gov.in  |

 Sorry to say but you are not eligible to write the CDS Examination as per your current educational qualifications. CDS Examination is conducted by the UPSC twice every year for the selection of candidates in the Following Wings : * Indian Militant Academy * Officers Training Academy * Naval Academy * Air Force Academy The Eligibility Criteria for CDS Examination are : a) Educational Qualification : Pass in any graduation degree from any recognized college/university b) Age Limit : 18-24 years. c) Nationality : Indian d) Physical Standards : 1) Minimum Height Required :  2) Eye Sight :  On the basis of the above mentioned , you can predict that why you are ineligible for the same. Hope the above mentioned will provide you the information you were searching for. |

The eligibility for CDS is as follows: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: -Indian Military Academy/Officers Training Academy: degree from a recognized university. -Naval Academy: degree in engineering. -Air Force Academy: degree with physics and maths/B.E. AGE LIMIT: -Indian Military Academy: 19-24yrs. -Naval Academy: 19-22yrs. -Air Force Academy: 19-23yrs. -Officers Training Academy: 19-25yrs. CDS - COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IMA OF CDS:- -The candidate must be an Indian unmarried male -Should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University -Should be within the age of 19 to 24 years -Should have possessed good Physical and Mental health The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test. If you have done your graduation then you are eligible for the CDS exam. ELIGIBLITY FOR CDS Educational Qualifications: For admission to the examination, a candidate must have: 1. I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA): Degree of a recognised University or equivalent. 2. Naval Academy: B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering. 3. Air Force Academy : Degree of Recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering. thank you |

Re: Am I eligible to write CDS entrance exam? I am pursuing B.Com from Deen Dayal Upadhayay University, Gorakhpur You are eligible to attend CDS exams after completing your B.Com. CDS exam is conducted by UPSC to select eligible candidates in to defense sector. Since, you are commerce graduate; you can only apply for OTA or IMA. Minimum age limit to apply for this exam is 19 years. Maximum age limit to apply for OTA is 25 years and for IMA is 25 years. One should be a male candidate to appear for this exam. If you are able to clear written exam, you need to appear for Physical Test and Personal Interview also. |
