Hey Dinesh,
M.Tech gives you the major opportunities to get into education or teaching sector whereas MBA gives you the opportunities for managerial sector in corporate world. You can choose best as per your interest. Generally speaking you MBA is preferred over M.Tech as more opportunities knock after MBA. Also some best colleges to consider - Symbiosis, SRM, Lovely Professional University.

MBA means for masters in bussiness administration and mtech means for masters in technology

MTech - mostly science and technology related

MBA - Master in Business Administration and M.Tech. - Master in Technology both are Post Graduation Degree course but One is non technical i.e management course and other is a completely technical course.

One can purse MBA after Graduation Degree in any stream but one can not purse M.Tech. after Graduation in any stream but from B.Tech. Degree and from Specific Science stream.

Re: What is the difference between pursuing MBA and M.Tech?

MBA stands for master in Management whereas MTECH stands for masters in technical.

In MBA you have a chance to become HR,Finance executive or to be a part of banks.

In Mtech you will be in the techincal field and then you can for the research options also.

Re: What is the difference between pursuing MBA and M.Tech?

Hi

Let me first tell you the similarity

MBA and M.Tech are both post graduation program.
Both have good scope of learning and earning

MBA is Masters of Business Administration
Thus, if you are interested in getting into business line or manegerial job then you should go for MBA.

MBA has mostly following fields.
- Finance
- marketing
- strategy
- Human resources
- operation
- IT/ITES

Generally it doesn't have any link with your graduation

M.Tech is Masters of Technology.
If you want to word in manufacturing , designing etc sector as engineer, then you should go for M.Tech

MTech is continuation of the course you had in graduation.
Since its a post graduation course, its a specialized course.

All the best

HI!
After passing B.Tech you have two option like:-
> M.Tech
> M.B.A

Friend M.Tech is technical course and M.B.A is professional Course.

For admission in top M.B.A college you have to Qualify the entrance exam like:-
> C.A.T
> M.A.T
> G.M.A.T
> R.M.AT

For admission in top M.Tech college you have to qualify the G.A.T.E.

ALL THE BEST!

Re: What is the difference between pursuing MBA and M.Tech?

sir,

Difference between MBA and M.Tech?
Hi friend,
There is a lot of difference in between MBA and M.Tech
Difference at the time of admission:

For getting admission into MBA one should have qualify in any common entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, JMET, IBSAT, SNAP, TANCET, ICET etc.,
For getting admission into M.Tech one should have qualify GATE exam

Difference at the time of Studies:

In M.Tech you will come across with the core subjects which you already learnt in B.Tech but some what deep discussion will be there.
In MBA you will come across with your specialization subjects as well as Management Studies

Difference at the time of job opportunities:

With the M.Tech you will get job opportunities such as professor or core jobs. No other opportunities will be found
With MBA you will get additional job opportunities in the field of Management field along with your core subject field.

So I suggest you to join MBA than M.Tech where you will get additional qualifications and also additional job opportunities.

Re: What is the difference between pursuing MBA and M.Tech?

sir,
i'm please to inform you that both MBA and MTech are post graduation courses, one can go for MTech only after having his/her Btech persued but you can go for MBA even after persuing courses like BBA and other management courses.
ON one side MTEch gives you an opportunity to enter lecturership(being a professor) in recognised universities with a good package ,MBA offers you to be placed in good industrial areas and MNCs with a good package.
One can go for Mtech after Btech by appearing in GATE,scoring good in this exam makes you eligible for having your MTech degree from the institutes like NITs and IITs ,not only this companies call the top rankers of GATE directly after BTech.
hopt this will help.
