Dear pal, CACPT is charted accountant common proficiency exam conducted twice a year . the last date for applying for the exam is 1st of October The exam is to be held on 18th December. The eligibility for the exam is pass in the 10+2 exam.student with graduation in B.Com is also eligible The exam consist of multiple choice question in two session with negative marking. SYLLABUS SESSION 1; fundamentals of accounting mercantile law SESSION 2 general economics quantitative APTITUDE |

I Namita Pradhan would like to know that after registration in CPT for the 1 st time in June, what is the next process for attempt the CPT in Dec'11. I have already registered with u & when can i fill the examination form , Requesting to u please provide the sufficient information then only i will be able to attend the exam which will be held on december'2011. What is the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) ? It is an entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course. It is a test of four subjects i.e. Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. This test is of 200 marks. This test is divided into two sessions of two hours each A Simplified Entry to the Chartered Accountancy Course CPT will replace existing Professional Education (Course-I) which requires 10-month study period followed by an exhaustive theoretical examination. CPT is an objective type test to be held every February, May, August and November. This will reduce long waiting for entry to the chartered accountancy education and training. Common Proficiency Test will be an objective type multiple choice based examination. Candidates will be allowed to opt for Hindi medium Question Paper Booklet for answering the questions. Detailed information will be found given in the Information brochure. The CPT June 2011 Information brochure containing Common Proficiency Test CPT June application form will also be available in the Regional and Branch Offices of the Institute and can be obtained there from on cash payment on or from 04th April, 2011. last date of submission of form is 25 april 2011. After this form is not accepted. |
