The applicant must be a citizen of India.
Diploma holders must necessarily pass Diploma examination from AICTE approved Institution with atleast 45% marks (40% for reserved category) B.Sc Degree holders must have passed B.Sc from a recognized University approved from UGC with atleast 45% marks (40% for reserved category)
Students belonging to B.Sc stream must clear the Engineering subjects such as Graphics/ Engineering Drawing/ Engineering Mechanics of the 1st year Engineering Programme along with second year subjects.
The students of B.Sc stream shall be considered only after offering supernumerary seats in this category to the students belonging to Diploma stream.
It is necessary that candidates must be residing in the State of West Bengal for a minimum period of 10 years uninterruptedly or their parents may be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
Candidates of States other than West Bengal may be considered for admission to Non-Govt.Engineering/ Technology Colleges/ Institutions.
Residential (Domicile) Certificate needs to be produced during counselling in the proforma given in “Proforma for Residential (Domicile) Certificate”
Candidates must necessarily belong to 27 years of age who are willing to apply for JELET 2015 entrance exam.

JELET is a Joint Entrance Exam.

This exam conduct by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board in the month of July 2015.

This exam is for those who want to get lateral entry admission in the second year of Engineering/ Tech/ Pharmacy/Architecture etc programs.

Candidate’s age should be below 27 years to appear in the exam.

Candidate who want to appear in this exam should have Diploma in Engineering / Pharmacy/ Technology with minimum 50% marks from any Polytechnic Institute recognized by AICTE.

Candidate who passed their 12th Standard with Maths and completed B.Sc with minimum 50% marks from any UGC recognized University can also appear in the exam..

Candidate’s Selection will be based on the written exam.

Candidate have to pay approx 500/- Rs to appear in the exam.

Eligibility Criteria of JELET 2015 Examination:

JELET (Joint Entrance Examination For Lateral Entry) is an entrance examination conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board for admission into Architecture, Technology, Pharmacy, Engineering courses.

Educational Qualification:

>> Candidates must have passed "Diploma" from a recognized university (AICTE Approved Institution) with minimum 50% marks.
(Or)
>> Candidates who have passed B.Sc from a recognized AICTE institution with minimum 50% marks are also eligible.
(Or)
>> Candidates must have hold the Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 5045% marks are also eligible to apply for JELET Examination.

>> Final year candidates pursuing their qualifying degree (For instance, 3rd year Diploma Graduates) are also eligible to apply.

Minimum percentage required in the respective qualification:

@ For Unreserved candidates - 50% marks

@ For Reserved Candidates - 45% marks

JELET 2015 Application Forms will be available from May 2015

JELET is the lateral Entry scheme for Entry to 2nd year or 3rd semester of the four year bachelors degree course in Engineering or Technology and Pharmacy, Except Architecture.

Application Process:
  • JELET 2015 Brochure can be obtained from Branches of Bank after depositing the required application fees. The dully application form should be then submitted to Board's office on or before last date by Hand or Courier or Speed post.

Note: Applications will start from Mid of June 2015 which will subsequently close by End of the July.
