Re: Is it possible to apply for both IES 2015 and ESE 2015? Let me tell you that Indian Engineering Services of Engineering Services Exam, both are same. Since you have mentioned that you are candidate of electronics and communication engineering, so you must be willing to appear for the Indian Engineering Services. However IES also stands for Indian Economic Services which requires master's degree in economics/business economics/applied economics or econometrics. But from my point of view, you are willing to apply for Engineering Services exam, the last date for applying online for IES is 10/04/2015. You can apply online at www.upsconline.nic.in. |

Here you have written in question you are the final year ECE student, if your ECE is a degree course and this ECE course you are doing from a recognized University then obviously you are capable to sit for the UPSC IES 2015. Keep in mind you are to opt subjects,from the following streams.1.Civil,2.Mechanical,3.Electronics,4.Telec ommunication before going to sit for the UPSC conducted Indian Engineering Services entrance examination. There is no difference between both the examinations, both are same and all concerned requirements are also same.
