Re: Information about PSU and IES? What is the application date? The last date of the application of the Engineering Services Examination was 10th April. So, this year you chances to be a part of such a prestigious exam has gone. Now talking about the PSU's, most of the PSU's date have also been gone. The last date for online application of NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, NPCIL, AAI, SAIL etc is already over. But yes, PSU's like NMDC aetc. are still there. You can look for that. Also you can go for the other government exams like CGL and SSC whose notification dates for this year are yet to come and those which you have chances to fill this year. |

Re: Information about PSU and IES? What is the application date? Indian Engineering Services is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. This is the entrance exam for candidates pursuing bachelor's degree in engineering or technology. The last date for IES 2015 online application was 10th April 2015. So you cannot apply for this exam in this year. PSU means Public Sector undertakings. The last date for online application of PSUs like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, NPCIL, AAI etc is already over. So, you need to wait for next year notification of these exams. |

Re: Information about PSU and IES? What is the application date? PSU selects candidates mostly who have good GATE score card. You have to appear in GATE exam held each year to get job in PSUs. For IES exam which is conducted by UPSC you must have completed your Engineering degree in following streams- 1. Electronics and Communications Engineering. 2. Electrical Engineering. 3. Mechanical Engineering. 4. Civil Engineering. |

Some of the examples of PSUs are: ~~National Thermal Power Corporation. ~~Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. ~~Indian Space Research Organization ~~Steel Authority of India etc. PSUs recruit candidates on the basis of: 1. GATE score card. 2. Group Discussion. 3. Personal Interview. The important dates for online application of almost of all PSUs are over. BSNL JTO notification will be announced soon. IES stands for the Indian Engineering Services. Any candidate who has done bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university can apply for the exam. Age limit is 21-30 years. The last date for online application of IES 2015 was 10/04/2015. |

Re: Information about PSU and IES? What is the application date? IES stands for the Indian Engineering Services. The entrance exam for this is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year. Anyone who has done bachelor's degree in technology or engineering from a recognized university can apply for this exam. Final year candidates of Engineering/ technology can also apply for the exam. The general age limit is 21-30 years and three years upper age relaxation to OBC candidates and five years to SC/ST candidates respectively. This entrance exam is given only in four streams only: >>Mechanical Engineering. >>Electrical Engineering. >>Electronics and Communication engineering. >>Civil engineering. No matter you are candidate of any branch of engineering, you can exam in only above mentioned four streams only. Important dates for IES 2015: Date of notification:14/03/2015 Last date of receiving application:10/04/2015 Date of examination:12/06/2015. So, the last date of already over for 2015. For any more details, you can visit www.upsc.gov.in. PSU stands for Public Sector Undertakings. Examples of PSUs are NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL, DRDO, ONGC, ISRO etc. Most of PSUs short list candidates on the basis of GATE score card for recruitment purposes. However some of the PSUs like SAIL, AAI, NPCIL also conduct its own entrance examination for recruitment. But the date of online application for entrance exams of PSUs is over now for 2015. you will have to wait for next year. |
