Re: Can I join Indian Navy after graduating civil engineering? I am 21 years old Yes you are eligible and you can join in Indian Navy wing through CDS(Combined Defence Services)entrance examination. CDS entrance examination is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) 2 times within a year. CDS Eligibility:- 1.Any graduate or a final year candidate from the recognized University can write CDS entrance exam. 2.Age for Navy:- 19-22 years. 3.Must be a citizen of India. 4.Marital Status: Single(Unmarried) 5.Male/Female both can try for CDS entrance exam. |

For UES (SSC): # Candidate should have a citizenship in India # Age limit needed is 19-24 years # Educational qualification needed is B.E/B.Tech in Naval Architecture/ Mechanical/ Civil/ Aeronautical/ Metallurgical/ Aerospace Engg with at least 60% marks. |

For entry to Indian Navy, you will have to appear for the Combined Defense Services. CDS is conducted by UPSC twice every year and both male and female candidates can apply for this exam. It requires that candidate must have done bachelor's degree in science or engineering from a recognized university. The age limit for Indian Naval Academy is 19-22 years.
