To use full time in exam better concentrate first on section which you know more
better try to find easy questions and then again look for other ones because attempting easy question will build up you confidence during the exam
you have to get atleast more than 35-40% of the total mark in order to just clear iit

Dear friend,

You should go through the question paper by reading all the questions one by one. As you find the question easy solve it quickly and then proceed for the next one. If it seems tough to solve leave it and proceed further.

In this way,all the tough questions that remain unanswered try to solve them by giving efficient thought and techniques.

It can't be said that how much marks or percentage you should score in this exam. Because the rank in this exam is decided as a overall student results evaluation.

So practice a lot with the time efficiency keeping higher.

Good luck!!
